Installation of the year - domestic, air source

Separate awards will be made to the installing project team and the heat pump manufacturer in the following classes:

1. Domestic, air source

2. Domestic, ground/water source

3. Commercial, air source

4. Commercial, ground/water source

In each of the above categories, judges will be looking for projects/heat pump installations that delivered a primarily heating solution that fully met customer requirements in an energy efficient and cost effective manner.

Assessment criteria

The judging panel will be giving consideration to the following assessment criteria:

1. What was the customer requirement for space and water heating, timescale, location of plant, choice of heat emitters, user controls and other considerations?
2. From this requirement, how did you specify the solution offered?
3. What consideration did you give to energy consumption and environmental impact?
4. What energy use monitoring did you install?
5. What was the overall time period of the project and what were the key milestones?
6. To what extent were the customer’s normal activities disrupted during the installation?
7. Describe the handover process including end user training if any
8. How satisfied was the customer with the heating system provided?
9. Was any post installation follow-up activity undertaken?
10. Was any post installation follow-up activity undertaken?
11. What additional material have you attached to this entry?
